Established in 1901 by Leoncio Arizu, Bodega Luigi Bosca has an extensive track-record in the local winemaking industry.
Currently managed by the third and fourth generations of the Arizu family, it is one of the few winemaking firms that is still owned by its founders. Its reputation, gained over the years, has made it the paradigm of Argentine wine.
The Arizu Family has always worked in the search of the ultimate expression of Argentine wine, and driven the major changes to the national winemaking industry. They have consolidated their business development upon four major pillars: a strong global expansion; a reputation built on the wide expertise gained and transferred over the years; the sustained and homogeneous quality of their wines, and the perpetual search for excellence through innovation, dynamism and state-of-the art technology.
As a tribute to the land and to those who work it, they have worked more than 110 years to understand the intention of the vine. The passion of four generations of the same family, shown in Bodega Luigi Bosca’s collection, reflects the result of an ambitious effort started many years ago: the wish to express the thorough version of the essence of Argentine wine.
The history of the Bodega. Tradition and prestige.
Bodega Luigi Bosca is a leader in the super premium wine segment.
Continuous innovation and an unwavering work spirit have allowed Luigi Bosca to achieve a solid position in worldwide markets. Over the last 15 years, they have strongly consolidated their leading position offering products with a personality and a style of their own that reflect the essence of Mendoza’s terroir, and their regional style, people and culture.
Luigi Bosca collaborated actively to create the Lujan de Cuyo Denomination of Origin, the first C.D.O. established in our country, proudly bringing it into line with other C.D.Os worldwide.
The Arizu family proudly cherishes a tradition of more than a hundred years, during which the family worked intently to improve winemaking techniques, while observing and understanding Nature’s behavior to shape their own vision of wine. Hence, they renew their commitment to improve their performance with each new harvest, and to understand those who choose their wines.
The present. Anticipation and challenge.
While the future of Luigi Bosca is a challenge, the present is a combination of daily work, brewing new ideas and thinking in advance.
This is how Luigi Bosca is today, how it is conceived by the Arizu Family, and how for them every day history starts anew, because here, the past is always a prelude.
Luigi Bosca owns 7 wine farms located in the province of Mendoza: Los Nobles, La Linda, La España, Don Leoncio, El Paraíso, La Puntilla and Los Miradores, covering a total surface of more than 700 hectares devoted to grow, analyze and understand the vineyards. The different varieties of vines planted in these areas were brought from Europe towards the end of the XIX century. Consequently, today’s vineyards are the result of a careful selection of the old family vineyards, which underwent a slow process of adaptation to harsh environmental demands. During this period, the interbreeding of numerous grape varieties was encouraged, reinforcing the unique personal character of the vineyards.
Bodega Luigi Bosca annualy exports to 50 countries, including US, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Its wines are present in the most exclusive sites across the world, and also aboard the most renowned international airlines, such as American Airlines, Cathy Pacific Airways, Swiss International Airlines and Finnair Airlines. In addition, they have been recently added to Aeroflot Russian Airlines, the Russian flag airline.
It currently exports approximately 60% of its production, while maintaining a leading position in the premium segment in the local market.
